Received this scope today, after waiting over 6 weeks—despite it being listed as in stock. First, the specs on the website states the reptile s LED illuminated. IT IS NOT! Secondly, the scope pictured is labeled “Steiner Germany”, leading one to the logical conclusion that it is a German made optic. My scope, despite the same picture on the box, simply says “Steiner”, and a closer look reveals that the scope is apparently made by Burris in the USA. The glass appears to be clear, but I am unsure as to whether or not I will return it due to these two big misrepresentations. Needless to say, I feel disappointed after waiting 6 weeks for a scope that is not what it was advertised to be.
Cons:
- Completely misrepresented on website, approaching fraud

This scope is not illuminated reticle. I just received it. Glass in daylight is crystal clear. W/E turrets are a light click, precise but still soft feeling. The threaded covers have a long thread but themselves are shallow. There is the slightest of wiggle on the eye focus piece but eye focus works great & zoom is great. Both stiff to rotate which isn't a bad thing. However I bought this scope waiting months to afford it believing it had an illuminated reticle for low to very low light hunts on hogs & coyotes. Coyotes especially don't give many second chances at a shot. Crystal clear glass is a must, but I don't have time to be messing with a parallax adjustment & broad zoom range as the previous $400 Vortex scope had. It's glass was just a bit grainy compared to this Steiner in daylight. I will check the Steiner for low light clarity tonight. I may send it back due to the non illumination issue, or if it doesn't have great low light clarity.

Have it mounted on my 7mm-08.
Certainly not the lightest scope in it's class but you could nearly use it as a hammer... It's very solid and well built. It balances well enough on my rifle to not be noticeable.
The eye box is excellent, generous eye relief. I'd be more than willing to have it mounted on a much more powerful cartridge without issue.
All the adjustments work about as exactly as you could want.
This is the scope that made me into a Steiner guy.
I fell in love with this scope and the brand.
Get this and you will too.
Pros:
- Built like a tank
- eye box/eye relief
- Generous eye relief
- Light transmission and clarity
- range of adjustment
Cons:
- a little on the heavy side

I purchased this scope brand new from a gun shop. I regret it terribly took it down to the range where I could not zero it in the windage bottomed out moving adjusting it to the left. I had to take it back to the gun shop where they needed to shim it. Then I finally got it to zero after a HOUNDRED rounds. I'm not happy this scope cost a lot of money and there is simply no way I can get the money back that I put into this garbage.

This Steiner scope is absolutely amazing with highest quality German glass, a fantastic reticle, and it is built like a tank. Mounted on my CZ 550 375 H&H for that dream big game hunt in Africa. A long time Leupold optics user, but now a devoted Steiner fan.
Pros:
- Extremely clear German glass
- S-1 Reticle with holdovers
