7x50 Military R
These were purchased for the purpose of viewing people and vehicle lisence tags in low urban lighting settings. I tried two other pairs and these by far take the cake. The picture is very bright and crisp in daylight and you will not be dispappoint in low level light. As long as you can keep your hands still, a tag can be obtained easily from 300yrds due to the clear image.

Absolutely a fantastic product! Worth every penny. This is one of those situations where you get exactly what you pay for. The 7x50R is a great example of what Steiner Optics are all about.

Range finder reticle works
Good rugged armor construction, easy to focus, excellent light gathering in low light conditions. Range finding reticle great option if you need this type of optic. Be nice if a padded carrying case was included, easy enough to find military surplus on eBay though.

Steiner 7x50 Military R Binocular 538
I actually bought two pairs of these for a recent trip and a number of people used the Steiners and all were equally impressed with the low light resolution and more so with the fact that they were always in focus without a focus knob. They are worth the money if you can afford them, you won't be disappointed.
