Great Hunting Bino

by Bearhunter, Verified Owner from IN, United States Written on May 13, 2024
I have used these for hunting black bear in the Appalachian mountains. They are light weight, comfortable to hold, don't require focusing, and have good clear optics. They are great for anyone hunting in the eastern deciduous forest.

Great Hunting Bino

I have used this pair of binoculars for hunting black bears in the Appalachian mountains. They are very lightweight, fit the hand well, don't require focusing, and have excellent optics. The speed factor of the auto focus makes them great for use in a thick forested environment. Thankfully you don't have to give up anything to gain that speed with these binoculars. I have no complaints and I highly reccomend them for anyone hunting in the eastern woodlands.

Bright, Clear Optics/FOV As My 7X50c Commander

by Tyler, from OH, United States Written on April 25, 2024
The features in a replacement hunting binocular for my 37 year old 7X50c Commander that I’ve used on nineteen hunting trips were: high durability, high clarity, auto-focus, lighter weight, smaller dimensions. These features were to be sacrificed for the 7X50c Commander’s compass, mil scale and larger field of view (FOV). Upon comparison, the new 8X30 Predator AF FOV and low light clarity seemed as much as my larger binocular.
The smaller dimension and lighter weight permits storage with a range finder in a cover harness that is equal to the weight of the 7X50/harness. Lighter, smaller packages are important attributes highly appreciated by senior hunters during long 13 hour days stalking through rugged terrain.
The 8X30 Predator AF is a cost effective solution for hunters desiring an auto-focus binocular having durable, lightweight, bright/clear prey contrasting view, dimensions fitting within binocular cover chest harness. This binocular exceeded my expectations as a replacement for my old 7X50c Commander.

Steiner AF 8 X 30 predator binoculars

by Tim, from CA, United States Written on July 2, 2022
Got this product for my wife who is an avid birder. Simply fantastic for the money. Light, compact and excellent resolution and light gathering. The scalloped eyepieces exclude extraneous light. The auto-focus is excellent. I don’t know how, but anything beyond close range stays in focus, allowing quick perusal of the landscape without constant re-focusing. The A,C,T. technology works to provide precise and satisfying color discernment and identification assistance. She loves her Steiner and I benefit every day from this gift.
I can see that this optic would be excellent for deer scouting or any other game search. Great for camping, hiking or a truck binocular for instant target analysis. Great for small-statured folks or kids or anybody. You’ll pick out the gleam of an antler in the shade and do a quick point-count. Yow! If you or the kids smash it or if stolen, it’s a real bummer, but it won’t break the bank. I highly recommend this high value bang-for-the-buck optic.
Pros:
  • High Value for Price
Cons:
  • None for me
Best Used for:
  • Nature observation, birding, safari

Simply Awesome !!

by Michael Cross, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on February 6, 2022
Great glass, perfect size and very light weight. This is a quality product, built to take abuse and comfortable in hand with confident grip. If I could find a knock on this purchase is the strap is just ok, as light as the binoculars are, you can surely get by with this strap and the case was better than having nothing. I am very happy with this buy and highly recommend them especially at this price...
Pros:
  • Sharp definition, good in low light, light weight, comfortable
Cons:
  • Case could be better
Best Used for:
  • just about anything
