Looks are good and the engineering is bad - Steiner ARD Anti Reflective Devices Set - Pair

This is a really great idea that went very wrong depending on the style of Binoculars. I bought these for a pair of brand new Steiner Military and Marine binoculars with a 30 mm objective. Shipped quick and received in new condition. Absolutely no problems until I tried to mount these on the binoculars. The clasp in the reflective devices is too thin to firmly grasp the rubber covering on the binoculars which is manufactured to be loose. Next, the mechanism to tighten the clasp is a small hex wrench. Really? Any tactical use for these devices just went out the window. These devices are a great idea, but the clasp needs to be triples in width and something like an external thumb screw used to tighten these devices down where they stay on the binocular. Otherwise, they are pretty to look at, but that is about it. I sent in a question to Steiner but never got a reply. I would not recommend these devices as currently engineered.
