Ive ran about 500 rounds through my rifle with this laser attached. So dar, it functions great. I use it in the momentary position behind a Magpul front sight. If you are using the standard gen 2 buis, the laser will reflect off of the sight wheyher its folded or not. If that's an issue maybe find a skinnier and/or lower profile front sight. The laser ends right where the plastic buis' sight base starts, so you get a clesr view of the sight post. I've also had it last for at least a year and there has been no battery drain when i wasn't using it. I still have the same batteries.QD mount is solid and seems to hold zero just fine.
Pros:
- AA Batteries
- as advertised
- IT WORKS !!!

I was looking for a visible laser sight that had brand credentials for quality and for a reasonable price and this qualified. My setup on my rifle uses AA batteries all around and I was thrilled to find that this uses only one battery. I chose ease of battery replacement over battery life. The device is easy to use. My only con about it is how high it sits on my top rail. Using a 1/2” picatinny spacer, my Eotech (AA model) totally clears the device, however, that sits too high to have any co-witness with buis. I have ordered a .275” spacer from American Defense (Larue type design). That will give me 1/3” cowitness with buis, but I’m sure I’ll get more of the device in my sight picture as well. Overall, if your in the market for a device that uses AA batteries, I haven’t been able to find anything better.
Cons:
- Device height is very tall.

Really good laser if you are looking for a visible laser. Perfect for day time CQB through houses and structures. Also good at night when paired with a good 700-1,000 lumens weapon light. I would recommend especially because it is a Steiner and they don't lack on quality.

Small, tough, bright lAser. Easy to zero, easy to use. Pressure pad works great and I would definitely buy more Steiner products. And will use optics planet anytime I need and optics or accessories.....

Works very well for my purposes. I have it, my irons, my optic and my laser Boresight all lining up at 30 yards. And they have all held that zero for 2000rnds so far. The construction is very durable. It’s much smaller than expected.
Pros:
- Hold zero, amazing adjustment , durabke

After using cheap laser sights for years I stepped out and got a Steiner. Wow what a difference its like going from a Hugo to a Denali. Very high quality, very accurate easily adjust windage / elevation, quick release is a breeze on and off holds it center.
Great all around
