Not very bright

I have a LDITL-M (lighted forearm for MP5). Recently, I added this LED upgrade. It's not very bright. I don't have any instrument for measuring brightness but I also recently bought an LED upgrade for my Surefire 6P flashlight for only $3.44. It is way brighter and has high, low, and strobe functions. This product costs too much for the way it performs.
