A perfect addition to my 870 tactical build
I shopped around for a flashlight to bolt onto my Remington 870 tactical shotgun until I came across the Steiner Mk 7. It is everything I was looking for in a flashlight and the best thing about it is that it threads directly on the magazine tube thus freeing up precious real estate on my rails. The Mk 7 is crazy bright and perfect for a home defense shotgun... it doesn’t have any “modes” to fumble with...on/off is what I needed to ensure the Mk 7 is doing what I need it to do. Intermittently fails
For a demo unit it seemed in good condition and built solid... then I found even slightly shaking the shotgun causes light to dim, flicker, or even go out. Definitely returning it. Also found it cheaper new elsewhere. A sad double whammy considering I like Optics Planet.

Perfection.
Perfect addition to my Benelli Nova Tactical. Side mounted lights required clamps and limited mobility on barricades. A quality product at a great price. I recommend this product for anyone comtemplating a shotgun for CQ work.

- Close quarters work in less than optimal light.

Great Addition to Home Defense Shotgun

Bright and light
Nice product. Came well packed and works as advertised. I like the texture of it and positive, audible click of the button. I did not used it on the shotgun but it fits well. Looks bright enough to cover good 30+ yards.

Steiner MK7
I already had this light on a remington 870 that I own. Do be careful, if you have an extended magazine, it will be hard to reach this light, but on a standard 4 round magazine it is perfect. I have had it out in all weather conditions and it has never failed me.

Great Product
Just got my Steiner Mk7 tactical weapons light for my Mossberg 500 JIC 18 1/2" barrel. Same length as the barrel. What a great product...
And it all fits in the quick-draw scabbard... no pieces hanging off to the side or past the muzzle. Good Stuff...

Great light well executed
I mounted this light on a mossberg 500.
As this gun is set up for breaching and some home/personal defense.. This light works.
Well made. Only issue was when mounting to a brand new barrel ( purchased from brownells) the barrel lug had to be trimmed down on the muzzle end as there was some extra material and the lug was not flush (a slight rise occurred as it got closer to the barrel.) this may be just a manufacturing glitch from Mossberg.. A few passes with a dremel and some gun blue - everything was good to go..
This light is not designed for CQB (instant on and off). It's designed to light up your objective and allow you to put rounds where you need to.
