Not What I expected(good and bad) Pt 2
Thought I'd follow up with my experience so far:
-I reached out to Steiner about a kill-flash. It is non-existent and nothing in the works. Tragic.
-My gunsmith mounted this for me and I requested he follow the recommended torque settings provided in the manual. The manual specs are metric. We are...

Not What I expected(good and bad)
3.5 STARS
Let me start by getting these things out of the way:
-This is my first Steiner product
-This is my only prism optic
-I purchased mine from a site that listed it as a 'Demo' model and a decent discount. After I ordered mine and received a notification it was being drop-shipped by Steine...

Steiner Battle Sight
The sight itself is NICE but like the other reviewers have stated the mount is JUNK! Installed mine torqued to spec and after wiping the weapon down a few days later noticed cracks in the mount and this with out firing a round.

Conclusion of reviews
Please read my other reviews below as my experience can help you decide on whether or not to purchase this product. Steiner followed through on my warranty claim and sent a new optic, but that is all that was in the package. I didn't expect to receive several pages of correspondence, but a few sentences on how to avoid splitting the mounting clamps or, if there was a problem with the mount materials, identification of the steps they were taking to correct this deficiency would have been a nice personal touch. If you choose to purchase this optic I hope your experience is better than mine. I would not recommend this optic for competition or personal defense use and would suggest sticking to Optics with records of solid performance in this price range.

Review update 14AUG
Instructed by Steiner Support that I needed to pay for shipping to return the optic to them to see if it qualifies for warranty repair. A pre-paid shipping label from them would have secured an improved rating from me. I'm also inquiring through other channels(outside manufacturer) about the fabrication of an improved mount of superior material, will provide final update as this experience is concluded. At this point still recommend spending extra to go with proven optics that have easily available aftermarket mounting options.
Pros:
- My experience can help others in regards to this product
Cons:
- I have to pay for shipping for warranty work
Would recommend: No

Pros:
- Durability
- Glass clarity
- Price and install ease
Cons:
- Reticle for my purposes
Best Used for:
- Has worked well for known distance competition
Would recommend: Yes

Durable, clear glass, reticle adequate
Long and short range competition shooter, purchased T536 for features found at Price Point. Normally compete with Acog and needed another for backup comp rifle, but Steiner was having sale on these Optics. T536 has performed in all areas that I needed it to punching paper and steel for time, only criticism is reticle. The dot in the center of the T post does not allow me to be as precise as the Trijicon Chevron from 0-150 meters.
Pros:
- Price
- Warranty
- Quality & Cost
Cons:
- reticle
Would recommend: Yes
