Awesome product, but watch your mag choice
I found this product after seeing a competing one on TGC News. Being a cheapskate, I was hesitant to spend $50 more on this than the competitor, however I’m glad I did for 2 reasons: 1 - Location of Mag release allows for dropping the mag with your trigger finger, no wasted motions for your support...

100% junk.
Terrible fit, doesn't except any mag I put in it. But clearly states it work with glock mags. I wish I could get my money back DO NOT BUY. Plus product looked like it has been used, then return. Then optics planet sent it to me. In summation don't believe the 100% reviews, they are clearly fake.
9mm adapter
I highly recommend this adapter best out there. It's a little pricey but you get what you pay for and this is a great quality product and they have have a variety of pistol mags adapter you can use mine I can use s&wmp9/sigp320 no problems with it you won't regret it

Converting an AR lower to run a 9mm upper. This adapter is great it has last round lock back and mag release is intuitive. Good quality and fit.

Works perfectly with S&W M&P mags
I like to pair my pistols with a carbine that accepts the same mags. I could have bought a Response or FPC from Smith or a Sub-2000 from Kel-Tec (I have one, it's nice) but I had parts that included a AR-9 barreled upper and a AR lower. Talk about a perfect match. It went in easy and setting it up (the three set screws) was quick. After one trip to the range it has been flawless. It stayed secure and no issues with mags, feeding or ejecting. If you have an M&P in 9mm or .40 S&W this may be a way to add a long gun that shares mags, ammo and keeps the recoil down.

Hit and Miss
It's a nicely made adapter but very expensive for what it is. Perhaps the premium price is commanded by the best product in the market? Sure, if it works!
Had immediate issues with Foxtrot Mike FM-9 upper. The bolt would not close into battery. After some research, found this to be an issue but none of the sales info mentioned it. It was a bad surprise at the end of a highly anticipated build. I could send the bolt in for modification but then the FM warranty might void.

good for midlevel PCC when you have 320 mags
I don't have Glock mags but i do have 320 mags and i wanted to try doing some PCC stuff. So far fit and function is good and the system works well. Only real "complaint" is that it does take some adjusting to operate smoothly and if your system is already heavy this won't make it any lighter. If you can use a dedicated lower like the epc it would be better but if you have a spare standard lower then this is great.

The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because the bolt will hold open with 1 bullet still in the mag.

Bad customer service
The last round hold open never worked. Contacted Stern and they sent out a part for something completely different. Contacted them again and they sent another part that still didn't work and then never responded to me again.

Stern Defense M&P 9mm maxgwell adapter
I was building an ar-9 when the choice of how I was going to feed it came up.I chose a Stern Defense magwell adapter for M&P pistol mags(I own a 2.0 and have many xtra capacity mags already).Assembly took 5minutes(literally) and it cycled and ran perfectly.Ets plastic,m&p oem and pro mags ALL RUN PERFECTLY with no issues.This adapter cost a little more than the sylvan and endo mags but it perfectly suits my needs.Sterns customer service was top notch and I was actually very impressed at their attention to the small details and making sure I was totally satisfied with my purchase.
