Great Upgrade for Compact Transport
Unlike most people using this product for AR Pistols, I actually installed it on my AR i have set up for long range shooting. That gun has a 20" barrel and a precision stock so it's quite long and does not fit in any of the dozens of gun cases I already own. Rather than buy yet another gun case to take up space in my closet, I gave this a try. Sure enough, this took of just the right amount of length to fit my rifle nicely into several of my existing cases for easy transport to and from the range. I did not experience any issues with the release button disengaging during shooting as another reviewer claims, and frankly I don't see how that would happen unless your trying to hold your gun in a way that engages the button. Over all this is a great product and highly recommend it.

Great concept, major design flaw
The only reason I gave the product a 2 star rating was because of a design flaw. While shooting it at the range my hand would accidentally hit the button to remove the stock causing it to disengage. Perfect for owning one lower
I love this adapter. It allows me to have different stocks that I can quickly attch to one lower in seconds. I now own a few of these adapters. They also losk up solid.

Very Nice Part
I believe I now prefer this to the law tactical folder. Installation was really easy, it is somewhat light weight, looks good, and is so easy to use. I highly recommend the Stern Defense RAB-AD.

Rapid attach buttstock adapter
This adapter is easy to install and looks great on the gun. It functions well and like being able to put my things in a smaller bag. It’s a lot better than all the folding adapters that I have used. I am going to put them on all my guns. Great product

RAB-AD removable stock device
This is an extremely nice product. I had considered a folding stock, but they were more expensive, and the folded gun ends up being very thick. With this, I can disconnect the stock in one second and then pack my AR pistol in a backpack. Putting it back together is just as fast. Once together, it’s as solid as a rock. It’s extremely well built with good instructions, including all needed tools. I was able to put in on in 15 minutes. I highly recommend.

Takedown AR Pistol
This was a 5 minute install that gets my AR pistol with an 8.5in barrel to fit in my 10/22 charger take down bag. Highly recommend.

Solid lockup
Really surprised as to how solid this adapter is on my AR15. I have Law Tactical folding adapters, and honestly I think I like this one better. Sure you have to attach the stock/brace to use the gun, and remember to put it in your range bag, but it is just as fast as the folding types.
