great barrel
Great TB for the M9A1, the only problem was from Optics Planet, they shipped it in the plastic USPS bag with absolutely no protection for the barrel and threads. They should have put it in a box. Luckilly the threads are fine just have to buy a thread protector for it.

Check which barrel you actually receive.
Check barrel when you receive, I ordered a 1/2 x 28 and got the left hand thread 13.5 in a 1/2 x 28 bag but didn't notice before using so I'm stuck with it. Just a heads up. Gave 3 stars since it functions as it should. As well as the poor shipping in a bag with threads not protected in any way.
M9A2 threaded barrel
I ordered this barrel from Optics Planet because suppliers like MGW indicated it was out of stock and it discontinued. Steyr USA had them in stock for 50 dollars more, not even including another $20 shipping charge. OP shipped it fast and with no additional shipping cost. The barrel I received was factory marked, and even included a thread protector not mentioned in the product description.
Pros:
- Factory part with drop in fit
Cons:
- Still expensive even if discontinued
- Only 5 were available when I ordered

Excellent fit and finish
I've been really happy with this barrel since installing it. Fit was tight but dropped in without any fitting work needed — no binding, and lockup feels rock solid. Finish quality is excellent, no tool marks or inconsistencies in the rifling that I could see.
