Most Helpful Positive Review STONEY POINT LEUPOLD TARGET KNOB
ORDERED 2 OF THESE FOR A LEUPOLD VX-I 2-7 X 28mm RIMFIRE SCOPE #58700, AND THEY WOULD NOT WORK. THE ADJUSTMENT SCREW IS .050 SHORTER THAN A HUNTING LEUPOLD SCOPE, THEY FIT PERFECTLY ON MY 3- 10 POWER HUNTING SCOPE SO I LEFT THEM ON THAT SCOPE.
Most Helpful Negative Review sadly disapointed!
1. the alen they sent with the target knob is the wrong size. 2. there is no spring in the set to keep the knob connected to the coin slot, so it rattles around. 3. its not what i would call a "precision" piece of equip. since the "laser" etched graduations on the barrel & turret do not line up ve...

Ok for leupold vx3 scopes

by Leupold customer through and through, from New Zealand Written on August 22, 2019
I have these on a leupold vx2, vx1 and vx3 scopes. I believe they work best on vx3 scopes because the scope has an audabile clicks. The other two I’m always wondering if the target cap has come off the coin slot. Especially the vx2. Because I can’t feel much resistance. It’s a pain to check. The best solution on this scope would be to send back to leupold to have the elevation adjuster replaced with a target knob. But living in New Zealand, the cost of postage makes it to expensive. I’m pleased with the vx2 2-7x32 scope on a .22. Great field of view. And sight picture.
Best Used for:
  • Vx3 scopes

Stoney Point Target Turret Knob

by Legacy Reviewer, from FL, United States Written on December 19, 2011
I only purchased one of these knobs for the elevation adjustment only on a Vari-X II. Initially, I like the product, and this saved me the purchase of another scope. I have it mounted on a rifle, but have not had a chance to see how it works in long range yet.
Pros: An economical alternative to a new scope
Cons: a little difficult to set up. - "No Clicks" during adjustment

Stoney Point Target Knob for Leupold Rifle Scopes K-1L

by Ekw, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on June 3, 2011
They work well enough to get you through a fun shoot, or for casual long range shooting, but I think the statement in the write up "Serious Long Range or Target Shooting" is a stretch. They don't give the total range of adjustment needed for that, and are a bit too lose abd reqire shimming. But they do allow some long range fun without buying another scope with turrets.
Pros: Easy to Install
Cons: Lacks Total Adjustment

Taget Knobs

You will need and O-RING to take up the space but that was amd easy fix. Works very well on old scope without click adjustments, allowing very small adjustments in impact area.
Pros: Easy to install Make micrometer adjustments
Cons: need shim to take up play

Good enough, but lacking...

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from KY, United States Written on August 21, 2010
Overall, I think these were a good addition to my vxII, but the fit is a bit sloppy to be honest. They fit on the housing and provide nice solid clicks, but there is play to either side, and for $60 a pair, I expected something that would mate up tight, OEM style. Still, not bad enough that I sent them back and they make the scope much more adjustable on the fly.
Pros: Clearly marked, provides good tactile clicks
Cons: Doesn't anchor solidly

Stoney Point Target Knob

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on August 14, 2010
Bought 4 of these for Leupold 3-9X33 EFR's mounted on rimfires with Burris Signature rings. Both scopes are set at centre of adjustment using the Burris insert kits so have no concerns running out of adjustment while using these turrets. Easy to install but found upper half could not be tightened to eliminate "wobble".Fitted a 3/16X5/16X1/16 O ring to each spindle under lower half of turret to get rid of play and turrets are now firm and reasonably precise. Graduation marks match Leupold closely. These turrets are adequate for casual range shooting and can quickly be removed and replaced by Leupold covers for hunting situations.
Pros: Convenient
Cons: Expensive

Not great but not bad

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from NM, United States Written on July 21, 2009
It seems to me that something this simple shouldn't cost so much, however it is very easy to set up, and makes shooting in different conditions a lot easier. Next time I will just buy a scope with target knobs on it.
Pros: ease to set up
Cons: price
