A very practical accessory
I bought this knob with compass to mount on a StoneyPoint Expedition Monopod. For just a couple of dollars more than a plain wooden knob the addition of a liquid filled compass adds a practical, useful benefit when the monopod is used as a hiking staff. I always like to have a compass handy in the outdoors and this is about as handy as it gets!

Great knob, compass not so great
I use this knob on a Stoney Point polecat, knob works good, especially when the Polecat is only extended to the length of a walking cane, fits the hand easily and allows the use of the top of the staff to lean against more readily. Not as useful when staff is extended as hiking staff, but looks great!

best hiking stick head compus
wish it were a better compass, but it does work. it's the only hiking stick head with a compass that i can find, otherwise I'd prefer a better one.
