Bobroo's Review of Pelican Storm Cases - iM2950 - w/ wheels - No Foam - Padded Divider - Cubed Foam

I use these as luggage. No foam, no dividers, or lid compartments. A couple of drawbacks but lots of advantages. Pelican does make luggage with a couple rough spots worked out but by no means justifies the substantial increased Pelican luggage cost. Pelican luggage is more attractive and does has a better handle; only requiring one hand for deployment.
The IM2950 hinge is the entire length of the back of the case. This makes for a sturdier lid with less flex. The corresponding Actual Pelican case has two individual hinges. The actual Pelican case has plastic wheels, which are louder when rolled on hard surfaces. The handle is much, much flimsier; check out any picture. The IM2950 has inline skate wheels which are rubbery and quiet.

Overall there could be two improvements. 1) create a slot for identification or reinforce the case so that screws could be used to affix identification. 2) allow for 4 swivel wheels on the bottom

If you are having difficulty which model to choose; look no further than the Storm IM2950. It has the best bang for the buck and costs only slightly more than brand name luggage but with all the benefits of a Pelican case.
