Extremely bright. Down fall; it doesn't allow charging like the stronger. You have to remove the batteries. The charger plugs directly to the batteries. Lighted end gets pretty hot. Plus side, the charger will charge both batteries simultaneously. The light cuts through rain pretty well.

My third one

This is my third Streamlight ProTac HL 5-X 3500 Lumens flashlight. My first is over ten years old and still works like the day i bought it. I also have four smaller 1000 lumen Streamlights. These lights are made to last and every one I own still work great. The brightness of the 3500 lumens is more than any civilian might need. I wish I had one when I was one the job. I had to carry the big mag lights. I suggest having extra rechargeable batteries and a charger so you won’t ever run out of power.

Why waste your time and money on anything else?

I purchased this flashlight almost 2 years ago because I walk my dog at night so durability and reliability and performance are all extremely important to me… I seen the projected rating of 3500 lumens and thought yeah right for under150 dollars there’s no way even if it is Streamlight. Well I was right they’re lying… It’s probably more like 4500 lumens! I mean this thing will give you a suntan if you want it to! I’ve used this light almost every single night since I’ve purchased it. I’ve dropped it out of my truck and fallen multiple times while running or hiking and have even hit the pavement going fast on my BMX. This thing is a tank and the amount of blistering light it puts out is insane. I would highly recommend this flashlight.

  • Kinda bigger than what I was wanting but its fine

  • Turning night into day

Great light - very bright. Use it anywhere. Fits into car pocket good. This was a great gift to help me around home and farm. I would recommend this for any person. This is really good for the night time driver. This would be great safety device for a traveler. All good.

Nice light

I was hoping for more of a spot beam when on high. Still a well made flashlight. Seems heavy duty, and yes I recommend the rechargeable batteries too. This would make a good gift for anyone who enjoys the outdoors.

In the Dark after 6 months

Great light when it worked. Made it 6 months and not a rough life. Sit on a shelf. I called and its under warranty but I have to pay to ship the nonworking light to factory so they can look at it. So I'm sending this broken light off during hunting season. Guess we will hunt by brail this year. And made in china. Come on Streamlight.

This is awesome. Of course streamlight makes amazing products and all their stuff is great quality. This is no exception and the light is good, battery life is good, and overall feel and durability is good. Everyone should already know that considering it's a streamlight but figured it was worth a review.
