Drawbacks are you can't loan this flashlight to others because the twist on/off encourages people to mistakenly spring the batteries out of the other end. The plastic on the battery end shatters when dropped after 20 months; then the battery end will not stay in or the clip breaks off.
But because of the very strong clip with almost a 180 d range, using it as a general flashlight that fits in your pocket and can be clipped onto your pants or hat when carrying stuff in the dark is superb. You don't really need the head lanyard, but it does work if you want to use it.
Pros: Strong clip with a good range, small size, OK price.
Cons: Plastic degrades and shatters at the battery end & clip falls off; the twist on & off.
