We looked at several lights before deciding on the Streamlight E-Spot Litebox. This is a brand new item in July 2010. The Litebox is a little on the heavy side (~8 lbs), but this weight is attributed to the large battery inside. The shoulder strap that comes with it should help with this weight though. My only "complaint" (if you call it that) came with the Streamlight factory itself. We ordered 12 of the lights, and they were drop shipped directly from the factory. E-spot Lite Box review

I purchased this Lite mainly to have a light that was dependable and one that would stay on long enough if I should loose power to my home. By simply moving a small jumper clip in the head I have 18hours of 330 lumens or, as it came from the manufacture, 700 lumens for 8 hours.
I was disappointed that when the lite was docked that I could not rotate the head to the angle that I wanted. It does rotate very well, but couldn't rotate to where I wanted the light to shine when it came on.
This is an emergency light and I have not needed it yet. I trust Streamlight to provide a light that will do what it says it will do. I have other Streamlight flashlights and they are excellent. Gary in Minnesota.

great lantern

I was looking for a heavy duty LED light that would be rechargeable and provide illumination for an extended period. This is it! Lots of light, easy to put on a table or on the ground and angle the head to work on a specific area.

I belong to a Vol. Fire Dept. and have used this light on calls at night, I like how bright the beam is. Makes it easy to see what you need to.
