I've tried and/or compared specs of most every flashlight and never found what I've been looking for, until now. The combination of battery life at all outputs, dual fuel, decent candella and diffused flood that doesn't light up one thing well and everything else kind of meh is what I consider a perfect outdoor camping flashlight. Keep in mind that the runtimes can vary as streamlight's 18650s (which is what the 18650 runtimes are based on) have less capacity than surefire's, so it'll actually run longer than advertised with surefire's 18650s for example. I 10 tap reprogrammed it to low/med/high for navigation and not having your vision blown out, general use, and "what was that noise?!". It fits prefectly in a chase tactical large flashlight/suppressor pouch with the hilt in the pouch and the head covered by the the flap that is wide enough to protect the lens and head face. Also, it does come with a lanyard that attaches via a small 1/4" ring and the rubber sleeve already on for those interested.

I've had lots of experience with Streamlight ProTac lights in several sizes, and been extremely happy with all of them. One of the things that I like best is the ability to reprogram the various modes (Hi, Low, Strobe, etc.). I bought this one as a gift, and the recipient has been very happy with it.

I'm very pleased with my purchase. This flashlight is solid and well made. The high setting is brighter than expected and the settings can be customized. I've seen other flashlights for more money that are not as nice.

this product is amazing. i strongly recommend it. there is nothing more to ask for at all. the product even comes with batteries. the batteries are rechargeable witch is a great plus. the product is very well worth it.

I use 2x 18650 5000ma rechargeable batteries and get well over an hour on high setting. The dim setting is useful indoors and the flash feature is very nerve racking to people I have tested it on. They say that they cannot see nor locate me from 100 very away etc..

Great light! Used with rechargeable 18650 batteries can be cost effective light that can't be beat! Brightest light I have used or owned!

I would recommend this light to any and all law enforcement! It could also be a great light for home defense!

The Streamlight protac hl4 tactical light is Built very well. It has Sturdy construction and is comfortable. Amazingly bright and very light. I would highly recommend this flashlight to anyone in the market.
