This light is really good. It has a very strong pronounced hotspot, much better than the standard Surefire heads (not the turbo heads). It has a nice amount of spill, but this light is all about throw, and it does that very well! I like it a lot, as I've always had a soft spot for Streamlight and I think they have a super great value proposition. Hey hold up well and can take abuse. I use my rifles and they get thrown around in my truck and bounce everywhere and hold up just fine. I've never had an issue with a Streamlight. You could buy 3 of these for the price of a Surefire Turbo or Cloud Defensive. Are Streamlights combat-proven? Maybe not in the Middle East in war, but a lot of cops and swat teams use them all over the United States, and that's a testament to Streamlight. Buy with confidence and don't look back.
