not reliable
I bought this light a few months ago. After 300 or so rounds the light would flicker off and not come back on until I hit it. I would not put this on a rifle that your life will be depending on. Buy once, cry once and get a surefire.
Streamlight is king
Broke down and bought this light after my other brand broke after less than a year. Love the switch plate and easy to operate.

Very bright
I haven't mounted it yet, but I have had a couple Rail Mount 1 for a while that seem to be holding up well with no issues. I wanted something more powerful than those. This is definitely brighter, and only slightly bigger and heavier.

Great light
The candelas are not listed but this light does through a beam pretty far, I would say easy target recognition at around 70 yards. I have the protac 2 as well and it's much larger, and twice the lumans, however it's more of a flood light. It doesn't place a beam at distance but in a yard or large room it will light up everything. Both are great lights, if you need a bright tight beam to reach out there get the ProTac, if you need a really bright flood light look at the ProTac 2. Both pressure pads are terrible and uncomfortable to me. I will be looking for an alternative. For now the clicky cap works great off the thumb.

Reliable, tough, priced right
This light is reliable. I've beaten the snot out of mine . Just throwing it around climbing around. Throwing it in the truck and on the range. It's absolutely worth the price. I don't like the size of the head as much as my surfire heads. But it's not as heavy in my eyes.
