I tried to use this mount to put a TLR-2 light/laser combo on an 870. For a targeting laser, it's a no go. The unit is very flexible and would not hold zero. If you have an extended mag tube on you 870 then the Streamlight 12ga Mag Tube Rail Tactical Mount 69901 is the ticket. If you were going to use it to mount a light only an had no other options, I suppose it would be a nominal solution. Pros: If you don't have an extended mag tube, this is your ticket Cons: Quite flexible

Not just for remington / I put on a 930 mossberg no mods

Works on my moss berg 930 and I would bet the rest of the moss berg line as well
Pros: Provides a simple angle able mount for a light or light &laser
Cons: None buy it

This is great! My uncle uses this in his construction job when he has to go though holes and use a flashlight holder. He loved this as a gift I gave him for his birthday. Keep'em comin'!

Streamlight REM 870 Tactical Flashlight Mount 69906

This mount is actually very good to mount a small weapons light to the 870 for general light duty. I have it mounted under the extended magazine tube. There, it is a little difficult to operate because I have to remove my hand from the fore end to get to the switch.

I tried mounting it to the side for ease of access, but found that it sticks out quite a ways and was afraid I'd break it off under hard use.

However if you don't want a light integral to the fore end, it is a reasonable compromise for average home defense use.

It is not 'cop proof', IMO.
Pros: Easy to mount. Inexpensive
Cons: Too flimsy. Sticks out too far. Light is left too exposed
