Streamlight Sidewinder Tac Light
I've been wanting a compact light that I could mount on a molle vest for hands-free use. This light offers a lot of features in a very compact package. Adjustable beam angle, white light in addition to several colored light forms which can be used as identifiers in tactical situations, IR light for visibility with night vision optics, molle mountable and other mounting options all make this a very high value/high utility light. I only wish the lumen output was a little brighter.
Pros: Compact size, mountable on molle, belt or helmet, IR light, adjustable beam direction, sturdy
Cons: output
Better than surefire helmet light
I feel like it holds on your helmet better than the surefire. The lights not as bright as I would like it but that's a double edged sword, its good for tactical applications the red is bright enough to read a map and move around a vic without tripping over things in your way. I would buy again. You also have more mounting options thanks to the metal clip on the back that you can slip in your plate carrier. Over all a good light.
Pros:
- military
Cons:
- not as bright as I was hoping
Best Used for:
- Tactical & home defence.

Compact Light
I use many Surefire products (weapon mounted lights & lasers, along with tac lights) and am glad I bought this unit.
It has several mounting options (belt, helmet, headband or molle) which makes it very flexible. The rotating head is a nice feature.
I have one mounted on a molle cheast rig and it allows me to have hands-free light.
It also has an IR setting which is nice for NV.
Pros: Lightweight, flexible, multiple mounting options, includes IR source
Cons: light could be a little brighter

Good light
Light weight, good brightness, easy to change from white light to blue/red/IR by feel. Looked at the surefire and went with this for the money.

Sidewinder compact
Great little utility light. Sits on my helmet or turnout gear and is used as a backup but tends to be used more often than the streamlight survivor or UKE 4aa. Nice to have the red or blue strobe for traffic control & red led on low means your easy to follow in scba when the smoke gets nasty.
Pros: Small, light, red& blue LEDs , good output for it's size, strobe
Cons: Low output red led,
