Most Helpful Positive Review TLR-7 low switch swap
I purchased the Streamlight Tailcap Assembly, Low, TLR-7A, TLR-9, Black, 69426 to get the low switch parts I wanted for my TLR-7 Sub that I have on my P365. Credit to jhilliardx on reddit for the idea. The low switches are not an option on the TLR-7 Sub and the high switches obstruct the trigger. I removed the pin holding the plastic buttons on this part and my TLR-7 Sub, swapped the buttons and reinstalled the pins. Very easy swap.

I lost the little red bumpers that sit between the switches that allows the switches to engage the pressure pad on the board to activate the light. Finding replacements was infuriating. Finally found these and just bought them instead of going mad or sending my light in.

It'd be nice if there was a place to buy individual pieces to maintain your streamlight products, but I'm currently unaware of any place or "streamlight certified technicians/service shops". So for now Optics Planet will be my go to work around.
Pros:
  • Fulfilled my needs.
  • Official Streamlight parts as far as I know
Cons:
  • Wished they had more specialized parts
Best Used for:
  • Replacement and Spare parts pieces

Improves an already great product

I purchased the Low Switch Tail Cap for my Streamlight TLR-8AG that originally came with the high switch. The high switch works great for pistols with square trigger guards. For pistols with an angled trigger guard like HKs and M&Ps, I really prefer the low switch option. The finger reach to the activation switches feels better and looks better, too. Installation was very easy and comes with the necessary tool. Highly recommend!
Pros:
  • Affordable
  • Improved ergonomics
  • Look and feel
Cons:
  • None
