This is an excellent emergency light. It not only puts out a lot of light, but it lasts a long time too. Combine this with a sleeve of D cells from one of the discount warehouses and for about $50 you have enough light to sustain you through most any power outage. It not only puts out enough light to actually do something by, but it does not get hot like other lights might.
