This light does exactly what it needs to do for the intended purpose. It floods the area with plenty of light with a concentrated beam. If you want a "spot light" application, you'll need to purchase a light designed for that purpose. Easy on/off/constant on. I would recommend this light for anyone needing to illuminate a room or a large outside area. The light fits nicely on shorter rails... especially for those who don't want a light that extends beyond the barrel.
