Jackson's Review of Streamlight TLR-8A LED Weapon Light and Laser
O.K. so the light goes on and the laser goes on , but adjusting them to a desired sights-synchronized point of impact is a genuine pain .
The tiny tiny socket holes in the adjustment screws and the tiny bendy adjustment tool can't cope with the friction tightness of the screws .
If larger adjustment screws , and tool , were used this would become a reasonably acceptable product . The light is more than adequate for lighting-up a large room . While both high and low switch units are supplied , neither is as intuitive to use as the former side-press switch . Streamlight should continue to offer that model as well . The laser should be located on top of the light , closer to the firearm barrel . On mine , tightening and loosening the front light module to fully deactivate the light-and-laser function is overly tight . They could have at least serrated the perimeter for a better grip . Once mounted and sighted-in , this TLR-8 works , but I sure wouldn't want to move it onto another pistol and have to readjust the sighting . Well reader , if none of these issues bother you , then do purchase one . It works , but as the title declares , it does need refinement ; urgently .
