Great light/laser
This is the updated version where you actuate the buttons by pressing down rather than in toward the firearm. It's a more natural movement as opposed to the old style. The lumens is just enough to light up a room or disorienting a would be attacker. I like how it fits flush with the end of the barre...

Two lemons thus far
I've had the original TLR-8 since it became available. Its been fine except for the side switches being tough to reach on a G29. So when this new TLR-8AG became available, I jumped on it and put it on a G19. I liked it so much that two days later I bought another to replace the one on the G29. T...

Streamlight TLR-8A LED Weapon Light and Laser
Great product and a great company to work with. They were very helpful throughout the shipping process to ensure that I received my product even though USPS carrier was having issues. They definitely stand behind their product and their customers.

Darn Good Light?laset Combo
It’s always a good idea to have a light on your EDC, but why not add a little more functionality to your light - like a laser? The TLR-8 AG/X are super reliable and perform extremely well. I have three of these and am extremely happy with all them, that’s why I keep buying them.

point and shoot
This laser makes hitting the target with an extremely quick sight picture much easier, once it is dialed in!

Wildly Overpriced Paperweight
First let me preface this review by saying I bought this product while I was stationed overseas. Since returning from deployment I have only put 200 rounds of 115gr ball through my Glock with this unit mounted on it. This unit has seen almost no use at all. That being said this thing has been nothing but a colossal waste of money. The first issue I noticed is that the laser on it cannot hold windage at all. The user manual states that the laser can be zeroed out to 100 feet but I have never been able to get it to hold at just 30 feet. The windage will just drift by itself even without firing the weapon or without even picking it up. Also the mounting system on this light is terrible. I used the factory recommend rail key for my weapon (1913-1) and you can visibly see the laser POI shift left/right while simply pressing the activation switch on the unit. I have also had to re-order mounting hardware from Streamlight directly because whatever material they make the mounting screw out of is extremely fragile and will snap with minimal tightening. The final straw was when I went to replace the unit’s battery for the first time this morning (one year since I began using the TLR-8 A) and hearing a snap while retightening the lens cap to the front of the unit. It won’t even power on now and I have contacted customer service. Please, please, please, if you are going to trust a piece of tactical equipment with your life do not let it be this POS. Buy a Surefire or literally anything e...

Reliable + Durable
I couldn’t be happier with the Streamlight TLR-8A. This light/laser combo is incredibly reliable and built like a tank. It’s clear that Streamlight prioritized both performance and durability when designing this unit. The LED is extremely bright with a crisp beam, and the red laser is sharp and accurate, even in various lighting conditions.
Mounting was quick and secure, and I really appreciate the ambidextrous rear switch design—it’s very intuitive and allows for easy operation under stress. The compact size doesn't add bulk to my setup.
Battery life has been excellent so far, and the overall construction feels like it can withstand years of use without a hitch. Whether at the range or in a defensive role, the TLR-8A performs flawlessly every time. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a high-quality light/laser combo for their firearm!

Compact package for a compact handgun
I purchased this light/lazer for a Taruus G3 9mm compact. Assembly was straight forward and only required about five minutes, once I identified the correct adapter plate (provided). All necessary tools and parts were provided and worked to make assembly and adjustments as needed. Lazer beam adjustments were simple, but I have no history regarding long term firing. The off/on ring would be better with a white highlight mark, but it is workable. I am satisfier that this is a good addition to this firearm for my intened uses.
