Great product and quick shipping. Customer service is top tier from OpticsPlanet. Had to contact them because I originally ordered the red laser instead of the green. I immediately called them once I realized my mistake after the purchase was made. Within minutes of the purchase, they were able to fix my mistake and change it to the proper model I meant to buy. I think it took less than 5 minutes.

This is by far one of the best light laser combos on the market! Fits my Walther perfectly. The ability to change the switches to be either low or high is a huge plus. The green laser is stable, strong and very bright. The light itself is amazingly bright especially for how small this unit is.

Bought this as a used item works great 1000 aluminum light is super bright beam does get a little hot but that’s expected and one of the adjustment screws for the laser was super tight. Other than that this thing is great. Currently have it set up on my Walter PDP compact.
Pros:

  • Having to remove the battery to recharge it

  • home self defense and range toy

Awesome addition for my gun

Most folks are familiar with the TLR-7 at this point and it's always been a solid light in terms of performance, design, and robustness. The TLR-7 HL-X added improved brightness with the SL-B9 rechargeable cells. Now we have the TLR-8 HL-X G, which takes that same amazing light and adds a crisp green laser to the underbelly. Installation is extremely easy. Once installed, this light isn't going anywhere, but removal is also a snap. Thankfully, you can swap batteries while leaving it installed. The laser is easy to zero and holds up incredibly well, but you will likely need to readjust after initial use.

  • On weapon battery swaps
Cons:
  • Expensive
  • Limited holster choices because it's new
Best Used for:
  • Anyone who wants a really good light and laser on their pistol

Awesome Light w/ Laser Bonus

The TLR-7 HL-X is already a known commodity as an awesome light and strong performer in every way. This model takes hat exact light and adds a crisp green laser to the underbelly, making it even cooler and more useful. Installation is a snap. Battery changes are super easy and can be done without removing the light. The high switches are perfectly located for me to get from either side without breaking grip and they're very easy to use. I do recommend grabbing an extra set of the SL-B9 batteries to keep as backup. I really wish they had a nice little charging case for them, but that's certainly not a deal breaker.
