This is the second streamlight that I have purchased with the previous one several years ago. I wanted a second light for another rifle which it is now attached to. I opted to omit the strobe feature this time but essentially it is the same light and functions the same. I was totally satisfied with the first so order this second so I did not have to switch lights between rifles.

This was the 3rd TLR product I used and the first with a laser. It’s as solid and reliable as any other I’ve used. The laser point of aim was easy to adjust and center.when solidly mounted either on a pistol rail or single rifle/shotgun rail, it keeps its zero as well as expected. When I mounted it on an offset rifle mount there was some residual vibration shooting on the move.
Pros:
- Solidly built and highly reliable
- Great price for the package
Cons:
- A bit bulky and sticks out a ways in comparison to other prodicts
Best Used for:
- Pistol and rifle/shotgun solid rail mounting training / tactical applications

I did a lot of searching for the best price on this light/laser combination, and of course it came back to Optics Planet!
I used Streamlight TLRs at work. Reliable, good light output, and can take a beating. This is my first TLR integrated laser . So far so good. The only concern i had at first was the output selection switch sticks out a bit and that it might be vulnerable to breakage. Nope, its pretty stout, and when the light is rail mounted its actually pretty well protected.
Another quality Streamlight product from a great retailer!
Pros:
- reliable
- laser beam easily viewed
- great light output
- Stout but light weight
Cons:
- a bit bulky in comparison to some others
Best Used for:
- military and law enforcemen operations
- home defense (rifle / shotgun)

I am very pleased with the purchase. It arrived in a timely fashion and the salesman was extremely helpful on the phone. It was easy to install and works properly. The laser is very accurate. I have recommended Optics Planet to my friends.

Very sturdy, great adjustments, works as advertised. Received the product quickly. I am absolutely delighted about it. Light is bright and sufficiently wide. Laser is bright and viewable even in sunlight. Saw some rough use over the last four weeks but stood up to the abuse and the occasional bump. Very satisfied.

I received the TLR-2 package recently, which included the TLR-2 combo light/laser and a remote switch. When I opened the package containing the switch, I found two plastic bags which held the switch, a small allen wrench, and some screws and plastic bits. No instructions or illustrations as what to do with the bits. While handling the TLR-2, I realized the plastic bits had something to do with the mount, as I found a similar bit already in place on the underside of the unit. Yep, instructions would have been very helpful.
The TLR-2 itself is a very nice unit - sturdy, well-integrated laser, and bright enough to light up a large room. The laser dot was readily visible if you were looking in the right area, though it wasn't easy to spot in a cluttered room that had some ambient light. The TLR-2 is a heavy unit, and its weight was noticeable when mounted on the forward portion of the hand guard on an AR pistol. I ended up not using the remote switch, as I couldn't mount it in a satisfactory manner without using the provided strip of double-sided tape. There's a tiny hole at each end of the switch, so I suppose a small bolt with a nut and fender washer, passed through a slot in the hand guard, would work for a better mounting solution. Wonder if the provded screws and plastic bits might have something to do with it?
Overall, the TLR-2 unit itself rates four stars. The remote switch kit... two stars.

Simple, easy, and exactly what I was looking for. Great tactical weapon light with many applications. The light is very bright and easy to use. Nice features is laser only, light only, or you can do both.

Well made and easy to use . Mounts quickly and solidly . Thick aluminum construction with very little plastic. Controls are well placed and instinctive to use. I will be buying another one . Works perfectly with a Blade Tech holster. Well worth the money.

Fit on my Springfield xdm right out of the box. Works great. If you do a quick double tap, the strobe works every time. Once you figure it out, it works great. To open the battery door, you don't need to touch the on off switch for the light. The batteries were a great deal with this package. Order came very fast.☺

I've been thinking about adding a tactical light to my pistol, Sig 2022 40 cal, for a while and finally decided on this model. Perfect choice. It doesn't throw the weapon balsnce off, throws a lot of light and the laser is spot on when adjusted. The strobe effect can be useful in startling someone for some extra time. It's a great little unit. The price was right, the design well thought out and, above all, it works. Now if I hear a crash in the night I have better control of my weapon if I need to use it. Just remember to practice with it so you'll be more effective if you need to use it.
