Getting the strobe to activate consistently is tricky. I now, with practice, can activate it 50% of the time the first try. This is my only beef with the "S".
Under pressure if it activates, great, but if not you just have to "live", and I use this literally and figuratively, with a steady beam. It is still better then not getting the "S".
The strobe activation difficulty is the ONLY thing keeping me from giving this quality weapons light a 5 in all areas.
I have 2 and plan on getting another. The 3rd I will keep on my Saga-12 full time.
Now... Sig is the problem, not the TLR-2s, with the fit on the Sig rail. For some insane reason Sig decided to alter the rail from mil spec with a curve on the bottom making the fit with the TLR2 less then perfect, but it works.
I have a TLR2s on my Glock 19 (EDC & the holster fits the light). My 2nd TLR2 I use on my Sig P-226 S-4 & Sig-220 Elite with the Laser being good enough for "government work" w/o having to adjust the laser when I change between the 2 hosts.
Only improvements would be to make the strobe activation easier and maybe redesign the placement of the laser to be above the light, not under it, to get the laser closer to the barrel.
Over all for the $ the TLR2s rates 4.5 out of 5 and is my weapons light of choice.
Pros: Bright, holds zero, fast n easy, well made,
Cons: strobe is difficult to activate
