Most Helpful Negative Review Sloppy junk
After installing this and testing it in several lowers. I can not recommend anyone wasting there money on this product. It is sloppy as heck. You can get by with it if you use the standard button. But if you use either of the other 2 parts that extend the release, you will be very disappointed.

love the abilty to change wuickly

by Sean Hogan, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on December 12, 2025
I love this magazine release set the only thing is there are no real instructions on how to change out the buttons, you can go on YouTube but I thought I’d share with you how I did it. When you install the only difference is instead of pushing from the other side and screwing in the button you screw in a flat nut, screw the nut in flush on the screw you will see the different buttons all have a square cut out with a raised cross section, while pushing in from other side slide the button onto the nut an whole installed. Know how do I take it off? Tho take it off Do Not Twist it, I read Reddit post and people saying to twist DO NOT. I used a string plastic knife or if you have a thin fine edge plastic plugger you have to do is with the button side up push down under the button to separate the raised crossed sections of the button and slide the the button straight off forward or backwards while pressing down. Then slide the new one on.
I hope this helps someone else. I broke a button twisting my first try, it is easy to swap buttons quickly after the first time, To Strike industries, if you are going to make a cool thing like this make a non mating little tool that comes with it to change buttons. Other than that love it

its not what I expected

by the dude, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on January 28, 2025
I installed it and thought WTH the buttons are ok. But if you push forward and in like most fingers do slightly it catches and jams up. You have to be dead on to drop a mag. I ended up ordering a plain mag release.

SI modular mag release

by Pliskin, Verified Owner from OR, United States Written on November 14, 2023
I love most of strike industries products and this modular mag release looked perfect for my SBR! Love the modular options although I do wish they were metal and not polymer but they are still seemingly durable. Installation is a little tricky trying to get the button nice and tight in the slot and threaded to the right point, especially with the large extended button because of it's not tightened most of the way down it tends to bend/tilt the whole system and it just doesn't quite feel solid that way! Wish you could purchase another adapter so I could run one of the other buttons on a different build but don't think that's an option. The middle size button is decent size and easy to reach and engage and I haven't had any issues with any mags locking or dropping. I definitely recommend!
Pros:
  • Modularity options, smooth, looks great
Cons:
  • Little akward to install
  • Metal would be better
Best Used for:
  • Dropping mags!

Good AR Magazine Release Kit

by M Bridges, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on March 23, 2022
Not a bad magazine release kit. Would like to see an all metal version instead of using plastic components, but all in all not bad. I would recommend these AR15 parts to anyone that is looking for quality parts.
Pros:
  • look good
  • moderately priced
  • Preforms as advertised
Cons:
  • plastic components
Best Used for:
  • AR platfrorm 15
