Bought this with a Vortex Defender ST enclosed to put on my Beretta 1301 Tactical Mod2. Only option I could find that would accept Delta Point Pro footprint optics. Mount has its own screws and recoil lugs included. Didn’t want to Marr the finish on my shotgun so I started with the short screws. It’s one too short, 2nd one maybe long enough…until I went to torque (10 inch pounds) the left one, stripped the first few threads right out of the mount. Onto the next longer screws. Bingo. Until I took them back out and realized that had contacted the top of the receiver and cut through the cerakote�…put them back in and now the right side screw got easier to turn when I tried to torque it. Now I’ve got to drill and tap the screw holes and use the larger screws that came with the optic. By the way, emailed Strike Industries 06/22/26 (no phone number to call) to inquire about not being able to use all four recoil lugs, it is impossible to use the rear ones, said they would get back to me within 24/48 hours, today is 06/30/26 and still no word. A very Niche application so I’m not saying I would not do it all over again but I’m not saying I would either. Not a lot of options for this particular shotgun, the optic I wanted, and to be able to cowitness with the iron sights. Decide for yourself…

I just got it and it seems a good quality peise, came with a lot of screws and pins and a lock tight tube, I got it for the defender CCW red dot.
It took a solid 10 days to receive it but that is what USPS is all about.

The mounting plate fits and comes with mounting pins/clear instructions on what goes where. I don't really have anything negative to say but time will tell on the durability.

There's typos in the limited description on the packaging and no comprehensive instructions. All the pieces I got didn't fit the optic holes correctly so I'm sending it back.

Just installed it in the A 300 Ultima Patrol and it looks great. I’m using a Vortex Defender XL and it is more like a lower 1/5 co witness. Just be aware that even though it says that it works with the DPP foot print I’m not sure it’s truthful. I am able to mount the defender xl but only using the 2 front recoil lugs and rear mounting screws instead of all 4 recoil lugs (front and rear) and the screws.
