Strike industries checkmate comp.
I've replaced my A2 flash hider to a strike industries checkmate comp.,i wanted to eliminate muzzle rise,it did the job for under $40,great design and quality! Strike industries makes other great flash hider and compensator,also great prices on opticsplanet.com!

Threads are messed up….
I’ve had to strike industries muzzle devices and both of them have had messed up threads… what I mean by messed up is at the very beginning of the threads they are deformed and really rough. Deformation after 500 rounds
I put this on a quality build and after 500 rounds I noticed sharp edge and bulging on front portion. It is blown back into the break port area. I contacted Strike Industries to seek their opinion of what was going on and if it was safe. They went into defense and stated it was carbon build up and i could go pound sand. Completely unhelpful, overly defensive and in my opinion not worth it…I will move on.

Amazing muzzle break
Another great short muzzle device that mitigates recoil with a gas port on the right side.Great glass breakers tactical prongs and CA compliant what else could you want. Strike has done it again and for a bargain of a price.

Effective, great price
Definitely helps with your follow up shot.Very pleased with the design.The single chamber keeps the excess noise down more than I expected. Looks sweet, great price and cuts down rise and recoil! 100% Recommend

Aggressive and Effective
The Checkmate Comp is another sleek yet aggressive addition to the Strike Industries muzzle lineup. Noticeable muzzle control improvement vs an A2 or other open ended devices. End can be used to break glass or inflict damage on a softer medium if necessary. Looks are aligned with SI's chess piece designed for their comps and is compatible with the SI Oppressor that helps push gas forward for those range days. Great product for less than half the cost of other similar compensators.

Great buy.
This muzzle break is great all around. It looks mean, it’s not bulky, and it noticeably decreases recoil while shooting .223 out of an AR-15. For what it is, I think it’s well worth the $40. Looks awesome, feels awesome, shoots awesome.

checkmate comp
Strike Industries parts look and feel great. The checkmate comp is no exception. Being left handed I don’t personally benefit from the “compensation hole” but it looks great on my rifle. No complaints.

This comp is sick!
Huge improvement with muzzle rise over stock birdcage but pretty big concussion and flash. I like it though, just don't stand next to it! Nice unique sound and aggressive look , also have j comp and it's smooth! Makes my gun look mean!
