Most Helpful Positive Review Inexpensive, frustration-free install, effective
I don’t know what the other autist is complaining about, this flared magwell is a simple drop-in upgrade that’s highly functional. Truthfully I haven’t had an issue finding my magwell during speed reloads, but having a boot does give me better confidence that I’m sending a new magazine home, and aes...

Most Helpful Negative Review Design flaw
It’s a great design at an affordable price for a magwell compared to other companies. With one major flaw... once you’ve screwed it in the front lip does not stay secured tight. You can push it right down. Tightening the screw won’t do anything but dent your polymer frame and strip the screw it does...

Fitment issues

Looks good but doesn’t work effectively. Once installed it looked great but the minute you grab the gun firmly in your hand the lip of the magwell just pushes right off.

Strike Ind magwell

by Gary, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on March 20, 2026
I bought this magwell for a gen 5 G19. It does not fit well in the front or the back side. There were gaps around the grip base. I would not recommend. The price is low and did not justify paying the return shipping to return it. JTH is the best low cost magwell out there.
Pros:
  • Price
Cons:
  • Fit

Budget for a reason

by KennyGee, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on January 17, 2026
The mag well does help with reloads smoother reloads. But it felt flimsy and was easy to bump off. I was also looking for something to give me that locked in feeling in my firing hand and this was not that. Also the fact that you can over tighten the screw and manufacture a failure to drop the magazine was annoying. Ultimately it was good for the price but I’d rather put that money towards a more quality product. This is a good option if you’re more budget conscious and willing to sacrifice fit and feel.
Pros:
  • EASY INSTALL
  • Smoother reloads
Cons:
  • Flimsy
  • Can be over tightened
  • Easy to pry off
  • Doesnt lock your hand in
Best Used for:
  • budget over performance

Doesn't fit

by DM, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on January 2, 2026
I have a different SI plastic magwell and I rather like it so when I saw this one I was excited to try it.

However, as other reviewers have stated, this thing does not properly fit a Gen5 G19. DO NOT BUY IT.

I reached out to SI CS and they chose to give me the runaround so I'm never buying anything SI again.

Fitment issues

To start this will not work if you have one of the glock backstraps on your pistol. Also, the fitment of the product even if you don't have a backstrap on it is not clean. I understand why this product is much cheaper than all the alternatives. I will be returning mine.

cheapppppp

by Rob, Verified Owner from IN, United States Written on September 11, 2025
flimsy, no support in front. Once I installed, it torqued the grip some and my mags would not drop free at all. They would only drop about 3/4 of the way, then needed to be stripped out. Defeats the purpose of a quick reload with a magwell.

Does not seat properly

by Dave, from UT, United States Written on March 22, 2025
Very disappointed in the magwell it does not seats properly on my gen 5 Glock 19. The front end hangs down and I’m not trying to super glue it to the frame. I Do not recommend this product save your money and buy a better quality magwell.

gen 5 strike industries magwell

by BYN, Verified Owner from IL, United States Written on March 3, 2025
Good price, construction, looks cool, nice flush fit without beaver tail attachment attached, appears you would have to modify it a bit you need to attach a Glock back-strap. The front lip where your pinky will rest protrudes a bit but nothing too uncomfortable. It is a thick polymer.

also the screw provided continued to spin and not completely snug, lock and stop, so l may have gotten an out of spec screw, l bought two…..seems somewhat secure. however I haven’t shot it at the range yet to see if it will potentially vibrate and walk out though.

I added blue loctite to be safe.

but overall for 20.00 in lieu of spending 80 to 100 plus for a magwell? I think there’s value here asan affordable upgrade. The Glock oem magwell is a bit more expensive by about. 5.00 it’s meh looks wise.

I only gave it a 3 as a baseline…..not because of quality. Can’t say it’s perfection. I think it’s a good starting point and cost effective

it does force my hand up into to the frame and magazines inserted freely and dropped without a problem.
Pros:
  • Price and install ease
Cons:
  • screw access
