Most Helpful Positive Review
Solid Stock
Fits very nicely on milspec buffer tube. Does not wiggle much. A little bit stiff to adjust, but I suspect that it will get easier with time. Seems to be made out of solid materials. I would recommend this stock.
Most Helpful Negative Review
Lots of wobble in this stock
Read many reviews for this particular stock before I purchased. Nearly all the reviews I read were positive, and stated the stock had a good tight fit to the buffer tube. I received the first stock from Optics Planet and also purchased a Strike Industries seven position buffer tube with it. The buff...

Just What I Was Loooking For
I picked this up for a SBR build called the trash panda. It has no frills, no rubber on the end, it’s plain but not mil spec stock plain. Perfect stock for this build that’s short, loud, violent and hurts to shoot. lol. If this were a higher end build or something i wouldn’t hand to anyone to try for fun, I would go with the second generation or mod 2 or whatever SI calls it. The one with the rubber pad that’s been a little more refined. I wouldn’t put this on my primary nor is it one of my favorites but it fit the build. I wouldn’t recommend this exact stock and this is in no way a dig on S.I. at all.
Pros:
- Cheap
- works
- good
- Better than a standard AR stock
- The pull down to install on the receiver tube is awesome
Cons:
- No padding.
- All plastic.
- PSA. Careful with lined safes, this stock will slide out from under the rifle.

Decent stock
Starting with the negatives. It has a lot of slop in the fitment to the buffer tube. The tube I used is also a strike and both stock and tube are mil not comm on a mil. I just feel the fit should be tighter. Also the stock does not come with a butt pad, you have to purchase that separate. The stock is molded with a semi aggressive traction pattern at the butt if you don’t want to run a pad. And it would have been fine since theres no recoil to a 5.56 anyway but the rubber pad does give more grip to your shoulder lockup. Should just come on the stock already. As for the good, it has two qd anchors already in the stock that you can color match to your build. The stock is probably the easiest stock to install i have messed with. It does look great and functions perfect minus the extra wiggle it has in fitment. And the price is pretty good too. I’d probably buy it again, especially if it was on sale.
Pros:
- good price
- EASY INSTALL
- Looks good
Cons:
- Loose fit
- butt pad is an extra purchase
Best Used for:
- Range fun

Fits and looks great
These, AR 10 parts, added a lot to my build. High quality manufactures can’t go wrong ordering through optics planet.

SI Mod 1 and Aero buffer tube
This stick will fit VERY loosely on an Aero Precision buffer tube. Buyer beware. Looks are great though.
