Strike industries t1 mount - Strike Industries T1 Riser Mount for AR Platforms, Steel

First off, This is not a review bashing the product, just giving insight into my experience. This product is beautiful and extremely well made. Strike Industries makes a VERY good product.

I ordered this along with the Holosun HS403c optic (micro T1). The factory 1/3 lower mount that came with the optic is the SAME HEIGHT as the Strike Industries "Absolute" height mount. The Strike Industries 1/3 lower is actually taller than the Holosun 1/3 lower mount that came with the optic. I bought this in hopes of a true absolute co-witness, but when it was installed I quickly realized that it was not the case. I thought that it could be my flip ups were shorter than normal, but its doubtful because the factory mount that came with the optic is a perfect 1/3 lower co-witness with the back up sights. For reference, This was mounted on a Ruger AR556 with factory Ruger BUS.

For this, I gave a 3 star rating, but have no fear, this product is fantastic, and If it worked like I needed it to, I would keep it and use it. However, Ill be back on the hunt for a quality absolute co-witness mount.
