My first impression was that it was a little bulky, and I didn't like how the material on the top deck of the optic blocked my suppressor height sights on my M&P 2.0 optics ready. It seems to nlock the light sensor a bit on my SRO's light sensor, making the brightness of the dot less responsive to changing light conditions. Ruled it out for carry and put it in my box of missfit parts. On a whim I decided to try it on my M&P Metal i use as a competition gun and range beater. I've come to like it a lot for this purpose because it seems to protect the optic in my range bag and for frequent dry fire sessions. Mine has stayed in place through several hundred rounds and is very easy to remove when you want to check mounting screws. I've shot many rounds with and without it installed to see if the slight added bulk creates any performance problems related to window size, visual obstructions, etc, and I'm finding no loss in my shooting performance.

Fits secure, put it through the paces and it stayed on. Not much more to say. I’m sure it makes the optic safer for hard use, which to be fair an sro wasn’t designed for. Good overall product. It’s worked in competitions with bucket drops but I wouldn’t trust it to protect glass on large drops, which again, the sro wasn’t designed for. Still works well and looks great.
