Bought used. huge mistake - SureFire Scout Light Weapon Light Switch Assembly

Optics Planet had a USED model of the SF tailcap/light switch for about forty dollars off the regular price. I thought that it would be functional but maybe marked up. Nope. It looked fine but tape switch jack was clearly damaged and didn’t work. I tried it on 4 different scout lights and with 3 SF cables and 1 unity cable. None of them worked with it. When I contacted OP about it they said ‘used, not returnable’. Now I have an over priced piece of junk. I have no idea what the previous owner did to damage it but I’m shocked that it looks perfect but doesn’t work. Very disappointed in OP for selling a product that wasn’t tested or they knowingly sold a non-working part. DO NOT BUY USED! That said, I already own 2 of these tail caps and they have been great. Having the redundancy of a pad and a physical button is the only way to go, in my opinion. Plus that redundancy allows for it be moved and used on firearms without moving your cable system
