I'm a Surefire fan boy. There's a good reason for that. They build quality stuff that lasts. This works exactly as i expected. Would but again.

I like how this tailcap has a plug and button. Its nice to have a back up in case the pressure pad stops working. Definitely worth the upgrade.

Best option for a work rifle. A tape switch is going to fail. Eventually. Have a fall back plan cause you will need it.

Optics Planet had a USED model of the SF tailcap/light switch for about forty dollars off the regular price. I thought that it would be functional but maybe marked up. Nope. It looked fine but tape switch jack was clearly damaged and didn’t work. I tried it on 4 different scout lights and with 3 SF cables and 1 unity cable. None of them worked with it. When I contacted OP about it they said ‘used, not returnable’. Now I have an over priced piece of junk. I have no idea what the previous owner did to damage it but I’m shocked that it looks perfect but doesn’t work. Very disappointed in OP for selling a product that wasn’t tested or they knowingly sold a non-working part. DO NOT BUY USED! That said, I already own 2 of these tail caps and they have been great. Having the redundancy of a pad and a physical button is the only way to go, in my opinion. Plus that redundancy allows for it be moved and used on firearms without moving your cable system

This tail cap is a must for the surefire duel fuel. I was actually surprised that the plug is solid. It actually takes muscle to unplug it.

So I purchased this surefire cap along with the arisaka adapter for the streamlight HL-X that I already had. This cap along with the adapter from arisaka fit perfectly. If you looked at my weapon light, you'd think it was 100% streamlight it's that seamless. The only negative is the cost even though all surefire products are highly expensive and certainly overpriced. Flashlights for $350-400 is rediculous because when it all boils down, we really don't need weapon lights whatsoever. They just look sweet and are "tacticool" but we don't need em at all. Put a DBAL D2 on my HK M27 along with the unity tactical axon tape switch for the laser / light combo so figured I'd buy these two adapters for the light instead of spending hundreds more for a new one. Products work great and function very well

I like the switch. It has a good balance protection from accidental bumps. Plus it’s a great add on w/ mlok switch.

The light switch assembly is easy to install and works efficiently. The build quality feels solid, and it offers smooth operation. However, the design is a bit basic, and the instructions could be clearer. Overall, it's a reliable product for standard use.
