Good to go so far

Written on Jun 01, 2026

So I bought this a couple weeks ago and it will be getting put onto my HK MK23 beast of a pistol. Have a custom Lvl 2 duty holster on the way with an aftermarket rail which the P.I.D will be attached to. Just tinkering with it, seems well made & super bright. I love the charging feature for the battery. No mounts or anything like that. Just need a USB and the charge end sticks right to the battery. Easy peezy installing the battery too. Unscrew the light bezel and drop in. The best part however is the cost. Not even a $100 ain't bad. Beats paying upwards of 2 bills for the TLR series

Looks awesome & very functional

I love this foregrip. It's on my GHM-45 full sized not the compact yet still fits amazing. Makes gripping and handling the weapon much better. If you have any type of shorty, you know they can be a bit awkward especially barrels under 8 or 9" and this grip makes it great. My only gripe is the $$$$$. I know parts custom made for specific weapons are usually more expensive but $60 for a polymer foregrip is too excessive but hey, I bought it anyway!!!!! Might buy this same model foregrip for my Stribog as well. Used my little armorers hammer with the plastic end to put it in place cuz it's tight but that's what you want. Highly recommend this product plus other A3 parts as they are high quality

Seems to do what its supposed to

Brought my 762A1 to the range yesterday w/ this buffer installed. Let me say first, the recoil & thump from the 762A1 was like a little kitty cat to begin with before adding this buffer. Quite pleasant and actually felt nice to shoot. Not sure if this Kynshot "reduced" it by 30% but it certainly felt lighter and less punchy / thumpy. While charging the weapon, it felt a bit easier and smoother. I also have the VG6 Epsilon 3 chamber brake on the gun so the combo helps quite a bit. All being said, I would recommend this buffer

These pockets are useless

Written on Feb 11, 2026

These are useless made in china garbage. Maybe try putting a snap button at the bottom of these? There's no possible way to attach these to the cummerbund on the premium plate carrier from RTS safely, snuggly, and comfortably. If you just lace the straps through the molle on the inside / outside of the bund, they'll flop around and drop down a few inches. Apparently, the carrier is supposed to have a velcro hook n loop built in pockets for these on their cummerbund for attachment but the unit I received certainly does not. Maybe they changed the protocols? What's the point of having side plate pockets with actual armor if you can't properly attach it. Plus, stitching on the bottom corner on one of these is already coming undone. Just spend more $$$$$$$ and get better quality

Sending it back to OP

Written on Feb 11, 2026

Received this carrier along with the 6x8 side plate pockets 2 weeks ago and it's getting sent back to Optics Planet later today. It's supposedly made in america but it is not. Made in china tags all on the inside of side pockets and carrier. Feels a bit chincy & cheap. The side pockets do not have any feasible way of attaching to the cummerbund. Apparently they made a bund with the ability to un-velcro for putting in the side pockets but that's not the one I received. My 6x8 plates fit into the pockets but just barely. So tight I cannot hook and loop the top to close them in. Stitching on one of the side pockets is already coming undone on the bootom corner and you know that's only gonna get worse. The shoulder straps leave lots to be desired. I can just tell these products will not last very long with a decent amount of wearing & hard use. I didn't want to have to spend $400-600 for legit armored protection but that's just got to happen. HRT, LBT, Shellback, Crye, Agilite, Ferro concepts etc... is the route to go

Loved it, put all plates in it & now, shoulder strap ripped

Written on Jan 10, 2026

I purchased this rig about 2 years ago. Wore it at the gun range several times just to get the feel of it and prepare for battle against the NWO. Just bought 10x12 LV4 guard dog opmod plates and a pair of caliber armor 6x8 side plates. Put all 4 plates into the rig yesterday. Within 3 hours of installing plates, the left side shoulder strap tore off from the back plackard and is totally severed. Can't be re-stitched because the same thing will happen. Just a bad poor design. I'd say the total weight of the plates is about 22-23lbs. Carrier should be able to handle that but it certainly couldn't. I'm going to contact Guard Dog and see if they'll replace it. Not holding my breath

Great belt

Written on Mar 23, 2025

I love this belt. I run mine through a high speed gear laser padded belt(the bigger one not the slimline) and it's a great combo. I'm sure the inner velcro works fine but I much prefer a padded one for comfort. I like the 2" belts much more than the typical 1.5" or 1.75" battle belts. Wider, thicker, and tougher works better for me. I'm looking into buying another one for my other rig. You can tell it's made of top tier materials & is quite well made. I have the D3 V1 belt which for about $130-$145 is a dang steal. Wouldn't mind trying the regular D3 belt but It's about $200 which I'd rather not spend on a belt especially when you can get pretty much the same thing in this D3 V1 belt. You won't be disappointed if you buy

Works perfectly

Written on Feb 21, 2025

Purchased this cap along with the Arisaka end cap for the streamlight 1 or 2 lights not the HL-X. Bought all the components to run the light with the DBAL-A3 all through the Unity Axon switch. They work like they should. Flawless and seamless. Got all these pieces on an LMT 16" quad railed carbine. Buying these 2 caps is still far cheaper than an actual surefire light which are highly overrated in my opinion. Streamlight is fine quality and does just fine. Don't hesitate as these work great

Works as advertised

Written on Dec 17, 2024

So I purchased this surefire cap along with the arisaka adapter for the streamlight HL-X that I already had. This cap along with the adapter from arisaka fit perfectly. If you looked at my weapon light, you'd think it was 100% streamlight it's that seamless. The only negative is the cost even though all surefire products are highly expensive and certainly overpriced. Flashlights for $350-400 is rediculous because when it all boils down, we really don't need weapon lights whatsoever. They just look sweet and are "tacticool" but we don't need em at all. Put a DBAL D2 on my HK M27 along with the unity tactical axon tape switch for the laser / light combo so figured I'd buy these two adapters for the light instead of spending hundreds more for a new one. Products work great and function very well

Acogs are as advertised

Written on Nov 16, 2024

My second one. Bought the 3.5x model with the .308 crosshair reticle which is on my piston driven LMT quad 16" rifle and this one is on my LMT 20" quad rifle. Only thing I want better is the eye relief but not a deal wrecker plus I knew that prior to buying it. Fixed power prism optics have crappy eye relief and I know that and have known that. Fov is awesome, glass clarity might be the best in the world , reticle is beautiful but not overwhelming plus appears to be spot on as far as BDC marks. If Acogs were a couple hundred less dollars, I'd buy at least 2 or 3 more yet at this point, I might buy a couple more anyway. Last thing is these optics are beautiful looking too and lightweight. Can't go wrong with a 'cog
