As a first time gun owner, I felt intimidated by the choices available for weapon light systems. Because the purpose for our AR-9 is for home defense, I wanted a simple system that my wife could easily use if she needs to. SureFire systems were more expensive than the others I was looking at, but after reading various reviews I decided to spend on something I would be happy with instead of buying cheap and spending more to upgrade later. The SureFire light switch assembly installs easily and allowed me to move it around until I found just the right place for it. It stays put and works perfectly without needing to pay around with covers or brackets. We also enjoy the always on selector button as opposed to only having a pressure switch. Simple. Elegant. And works like a charm. It's perfect for our application.
