Issues at first, but 100% happy
When I first received this item it did not come with the SR tape switch but instead came with the standard ST tape switch. I contacted customer support at Optics Planet and they looked into this. It turns out there was a quality control issue on surefire's end and they mislabeled the product. Optics Planet quickly got to the bottom of this and made it right, and I am a completely satisfied customer and very glad that I went through Optics Planet for this transaction. Anyway, on to the review of the actual product.
The DS tail cap is an excellent product. It adds a little more length to the li...

best pressure pad in the market
Works flawlessly with very minimal real estate. Not too sensitive, firm but it doesn't cause fatigue

not for me
This thing is huge and heavy. Takes up as much space and weighs as much as the light itself. $200 paperweight. Doesn't even properly attach. Just slips over the rail

NOT IMPRESSED
The tail cap would not screw on enough to make the light work (without a nutty amount of torque).
Surefire rep told me ,"In layman, put the tail cap on without the battery in first." This works but why is it like that.
Maybe there's a good reason.
What really bothers me is the knurl is effectively non existent. It doesn't matter because I'll never use this thing anyway but I expect more from high end equipment.
Anyway, it works fine and is "built" in USA.
Unfortunately I would recommend Streamlight products for almost everybody.

Pros:
- cable length is perfect for me
Cons:
- could be made better

It’s Surefire
Great, but very expensive for what it is. For the price I feel the pressure switch could be aluminum with a cable hider, but no complaints, Surefire is solid equipment.
Catching a sale on Optics Planet saved me a few bucks at least. Ended up buying 2. No regrets.

easy to use and reliable
The layout is easy to learn and use and I like still having the push button as a Plan B! Would like it to be/have a more secure lock, to get the 5 Stars

Gotta Love SureFire!
Great Attachment for my Surefire Scout Light Pro. Just make sure you have good cable management. Its not long just looks more sleek and tactical

Personally Security
Great product for Surefire works really well when you need to light up the dark and safety when you are unable to see the environment that surrounds your position

Cable is very tough
I was impressed with the cable that connected the tail cap to the switch. This is my first surefire light and I've ran streamlight for the most part. The streamlight pressure pad feels alot cheaper than this surefire. Which for the price, it should.

surefire scout light weapon light switch
I decided to try this switch out and I’m glad I did. I like the idea of the backup switch in the case your pressure pad stopped working. I highly recommend this pressure pad.

The switch
This in my opinion is integral to using the scout lights. Simply having the tail switch limits the effectiveness of the lights
Pros:
- Flexability
Cons:
- Length of wire
Best Used for:
- Must have
