Makes my surefire perfect for low light use! Definitely not going to fall off...very secured to flashlight. Typical surefire product...bomb proof. I expected nothing less and this meets all expectations.

The Surefire products have never left me regretting a purchase. This is another fine product that does as advertised.

Expensive, but built like a tank. The picture is a bit misleading. It is only red. The bezel actually has a friction clamp to hold the whole thing on. The only complaint I would have would be it is you are not going to be able to switch between red and clear if you have gloves on. There is a very small locking lever that has to be opened to flip the red lens over.
Pros: Not going to break it. Very heavy duty
Cons: expensive

I like this product mainly because I can use it at night and if I go from red light to no light, my night vision is not effected. Also, if I need to temporaly blind someone, with the flip of the cap, I can go to a blinding white light. This is a very nice product but I think it is a bit expensive. So, while I own several lights that I could use this device on. However, due to the price, I am forced to be very seclective on how many I purchase and on which lights I outfit with this device. Hopefully the price will come down soon.
Pros: Secure fit, red light does not impair night visition, allows quick conversion to normal light
Cons: Price

Good product. Easy to install and once is placed on the flashlight, it won't come off. Easy to use, the red filter can be flipped with a thumb to use the regular beam of the flashlight. Won't mess up your natural night vision as much as the white light would.
Pros: Best value for the buck.
Cons: None.

I bought this for a G2 LED. When transitioning from normal LED to the red filter, there seems to be significantly less light throw, although it seems to get better after my pupils have acclimated to darkness. It's still not quite as good as I've gotten from red filters over incandescent lights. Also, there seems to be white light escaping from the edges of the filter close to the lens. It doesn't travel very far, but I would have expected it to give off zero white light.
Pros: Flip up cover keeps lens from getting scratched
Cons: Severely diminishes illumination

The red filter is an exceptional light source in low light conditions to maintain your night vision. But it is easy to switch between the filtered and unfiltered mode as your lighting needs changes.
Pros: Well build and solid product.
