A good edc tactical light that is easy to shoot with. - SureFire G2 Combatlight LED Flashlight

My pistol does not have a rail to mount a light under the barrel. To be honest I prefer not always having the business end of my firearm pointed everywhere I want to look in the dark. It is better to not have to threaten innocents during ID checks for instance. But using this light I am ready at a moment’s notice to also use it as a weapon light.

I use this light in the Rogers grip most of the time. This is what it was designed for. It is a solid two hand grip on the firearm and is easy to shoot with. But I always have the option to shift it to the Harris, FBI or neck index techniques if needed. I use a lanyard around my wrist if I have time. That way I can just drop the light during reloads and require it easily.

The light I got was 600 lumens. It is bright enough to blind but is not so bright that it kills my own night vision totally. The pattern has enough side bleed to clear rooms without blind spots. The batteries only last about an hour and a half of constant use. So I save the batteries I have used for training and always put in fresh to carry.

There are only two cons that I can think of and they don’t have anything to do with the flashlight itself. When I bought my flashlight Surefire didn’t have a holster that fit it properly. And the lanyard they sent with it was almost long enough to go around my neck. I got a shorter one from another manufacturer.

The light is tough, bright and easy to use. I’m glad I got it.
