Great flashlight - SureFire G2 Combatlight LED Flashlight

I am very happy with this light. I purchased this light with the intention of eventually using it for low-light shooting. I previously had the p2x fury, which was a great light, but a bit overwhelming for indoor use. The output on this light is still very high, but low enough that you might not blind yourself indoors (plus it has a longer run time to boot).

The polymer body seems very durable, has a nice feel, and feels a bit lighter than the aluminum-bodied versions (because it is).

I also like the grip ring on the light. I haven't shot with a flashlight before, but actuating the light one-handed using the Surefire technique feels pretty natural. At the very least, the grip ring is nice for using the light when you don't have an "icepick" grip on the light. Also, it helps keep the light from sliding out the pocket if that's how you carry.

The tailcap spring was a lot harder to actuate than I expected. The tailcap spring is stiffer than in the p2x fury and the foursevens quark tactical; however, there is also less travel in the switch. This is probably to help prevent light NDs. For this reason I found it difficult sometimes to actuate the light using the Surefire technique. Given, I do not have a very strong grip and my hands are pretty bony. To fix this, I tightened the tailcap to reduce the distance between the contacts while still not being in constant-on mode. This helped a lot, and I do not consider this to be a problem for me now.
