I have owned / carried the Z3 on duty for over 10 years. Great light, BUT needs the optional lamp assembly to provide additional illumination. Costly yes, BUT would rather have the light when needed than be guessing what someone may have in their hand.
Pros: Additional light from small package combat light
Cons: Additional drain on batteries
Would recommend: Yes

surefire P9 200 lumen lamp

Great for short bright bursts. I would worn you the light will get very hot if left on. I left i ton in my holster and it melted a hole in the top.
Pros: very bright
Cons: kills batteries fast
Would recommend: No
