I bought this KM-1-E head for my M300 scout light, mainly for use as an IR illuminator to augment the very weak illuminator on a civilian version PEQ15. The KM-1-E provides 100mW of IR illumination which gives me good illumination to 100 -150 yards or so. It’s a great piece of gear but if you have rail space and don’t mind the extra weight, you can get much better battery life with the 2-batt scout light. The M300 was the best balance of light vs size/weight in my case.
