Though not cheap, this product is solid, allows for installation of a variety of rail mountable accessories, and counts as a 922(r) compliant component.
Things I'm not crazy about:
(1) Price, (2) adds a fair bit of weight, (3) could benefit with a recess for installing tape switches, and (4) the thickness of the rubberized buffer that separates the rail from the barrel is so thick, it prohibits many canted offset light mounts (like LaRue's LT752, and Gearsector's Scout (GS-3120) or X-series (GS-3140) light mounts) from being installed on the M80 rail.
Overall though ... It's an excellent accessory.
Pros: Solid. Lots of rail mountable options. Counts as a 922(r) compliant part.
Cons: Expensive. Heavier than OEM plastic handguard.
