Surefire Saint
Excellent wide area coverage. If you want a focused piercing beam, choose the LX2.
Pros: Wide dufuse lighted area and infinitely adjustable.
Surefire Saint
This is one of the most awesome headlamps there is. I use Surefire
flashlights on a daily basis. I 'am glad to have this headlamp as a part
of my arsenal. I liked it so much that I thought I would order another
and maybe set up the second one as a 1 cell, keeping the battery pack
as a backup.
And here is what I got:

This is insane.....it is not like I ordered 50 of them!
Anyway..a very nice product, a wide wide pattern of light, and I like the
variable light. It feels light on my head (I don't find the top strap
to be needed). It is a small frame with excellent light.
The dual fuel battery pack is a plus, knowing that if I don't have any
123A batteries with me, it can be run on 2 double A's. I haven't found a
test on how long the double A's can run it. But it isn't really a matter of time, it is just the ability to do it.
Surefire ..... It may be a bit of a high price.....But....
How many flashlights have you bought at at $2-$20 a shot, that yo...

a true saint in the dark
Only had the product for about a month now but it is living up to expectations and sometimes exceeding them. it seems to be extremely durable and is very simple to operate. Only downside is the cost of the light and the batteries
Pros: good flood beam pattern with reasonable reach, easy to operate with gloves on
Cons: Ring of light that sometimes hits your nose, expensive

Great headlamp
I ordered this headlamp in Sept and it finally arrived in Dec. The first shipment was defective (first run from Surefire?) but OpticsPlanet replaced it right away.
Headlamp runs just as advertised and as expected. Use CR123 batteries or AA. Use one or several. Headlamp is compact, lightweight, and easily fits into a small pocked on your pack or vest without battery pack. If yo have battery pack, you can store that separately if you need to take it with you backpacking.
Surefire lumens are conservative. So if it says 100 lumens on the box, that's like over 200 lumens from all other manufacturers.
Pros: Diverse battery use, compact, bright
Cons: none
