My husband falls asleep the minute his head hits the pillow. I bought these to block out the sweet sounds of his snoring, puffing, etc., during the night. I have to make certain that they are set deeply into the ear channel, which took some doing...but it's worth it, They muffle the sound enough so that I can finally get to sleep!!
Pros: does a good job of muffling the sound
Cons: ear canal is sensitive the next day
